I cant even describe the feelings as that initial city link van pulled up!
i went for the 40D + 17-85mm IS USM lens kit from jessops (through camera labs i might add) and it looks like a piece of art sat on the dining table!,
however... never in my life have i been so frustrated!!
the camera's turned up before the memory card!
im probably going to have to wait till friday for it to arrive! i ordered a 4gb one thinking it would be a better investment than the 1gb, not thinking about whether it would be in stock or not, meaning ive read the instruction manual twice, installed all the software and am left to marvel at the good looks of my new camera without actually being able to use it

i did hear something though, on the grapevine kinda thing... that i could use my ipod and firewire cable as a hard-drive!?! this seems to good to be true, but i have one of the 80gb video versions so if it IS true, then i can get playin!? i didnt want to experiment incase it blew up or something before i even got the chance to use it lol

anybody know whether this is true??

Hi retrofire, that IS frustrating!

But until your card arrives, you should be able to remote control the camera from your PC using the supplied EOS utility and USB cable, and record shots direct to your hard disk...

PS - thanks for buying throuhg our links!

You also need a 2GB or less Cf for firmware updates.
