Hi folks,

There have been reports that the EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM is proving a little difficult to find at the moment. Has anyone seen this in their own country? Is it possible that Canon are planning an EF-S version? Maybe an EF-S 16-210mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM to stop the haemorrhage of sales caused by the Nikkor AF-S DX VR 18-200mm 3.5-5.6G IF-ED?

All speculation on my part, of course.

Bob.

A quick check of availability at my local camera store in Taiwan showed three in stock at NT$30,600 = US$945. Nikon really does have a killer with their 18-200VR. The only choice Canon shooters have is to go to a third party like Sigma's 18-200 OS.

And what a clever choice it may be...
