OK I've now decided I want a good P&S and later buy a nice DSLR.

First since I will use it more I want a P&S. Gordon can you tell me anything about the G9 results indoors with internal flash? I know the speed will bother me but I can live with it.
As for as features, size and outdoor results, the G9 looks great.

Thanks

Hi d12bn, the G9's flash indoors worked fine for me, and of course you have the opportunity to fit external speedlights, but I'll hand this one over to the G9 owners on this forum who can better advise...

I forgot to mention what helped me decide to start with a good P&S. I thought the E-510 would be a good camera in between P&S and a bigger higher end dslr. But after going look at the 510 in person I just don't think I would be happy with the viewfinder.
