Hi Gordon, everyone,

Can anyone explain to me what this fuction does.
Wonderful Dpp tells me it corrects it, but I have little ideal what IT is?
I have heard the term but no luck finding what it does, from my search.
Have tried clicking on the function, but I see no change in the image, but then I don't know what im looking for?

I have to admit, Dpp is crude, but Im getting the hang of it and it does seem to do the basic convertion well.

Also one more question the default sharpening in Raw is 3 from a range of 1-10. What do you use for 40D files as a rule?

I been bumping it up to 5, but gone as high as 10 on one image.
