I am currious as to why someone thinks I will have buyers remores. If the person who voted that way would explain, that would be great.

Thanks!

Regarding which lens to purchase, that would depend on what type of photography you are looking to get into. I purchased the Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L which I find completely suits my needs, and have my eye on the 17-40mm and the 70-200 f/4L in the future. They are costly lenses though.

I just purchased the 40D as a kit, so I'll be getting the 28-135mm IS lens with it. That lens should do me fine until I convice the wife that I need to drop some more cash on anohter lens.

Roger,

I have the 17-40 and 70-200 F/4 L
They are costly, but as far as L lens go are also the bargin of the bunch.
With Iso going to 3200 and higher with good image quality F/4 is not as limiting as it once might have been.

Costly they are, however, your lenses will always outlast your body, in my opinion. I am new to the L series lens, however, I love the quality of the picture and the feel of the lens. I believe it was Bob who said that once you buy an "L" series lens, you get hooked on its quality and feel.

Hi bthall17

Congrats on your purchase.
Do let us know what you think of it.
I personally think its a very good camera - having seen some samples here in other threads from Bob.
Just too bad or lucky me the local stores does not carry it yet.
Perhaps in the next couple weeks before the school holiday starts
Then I can have a feel and go at it... no not buying it.. testing it.
