I have a set of Canon film lenses for my old EOS Elan IIe when I upgrade to a new digital Canon will I be able to use these older lenses. Any problems I should be aware of? Thanks

If they're EOS system lenses, they should still work with newer cameras. Depending on exactly what they are, performance can vary a lot. Also note depending on the model of camera you get, the sensor size can be different from the old film, so the field of view will be correspondingly different. More affordable models have a field of view 1.6x smaller. If you want it to work the same as it did on film, you need the bigger sensor models like the 5D or 6D series. Recent ones don't come cheap, but older used models can help affordability.
