Hi, I just got this camera for a week and today I get a 'err 99' message on my screen. When I turn the camera on it works perfectly but when I change the aperature, turn the camera on & of and try to take a photo, I get the 'err 99' message.

How can I solve this problem ???

Thanks.

Bart

Hi Bart
According to some threads I heard / read -
could be battery grip or non-L lens.

Hmm, looks like the problem solved itself. I just put it away for an hour or 2. Then tried again and no 'err 99' so far. Does anyone know what it could have been ?

I've had error-99 with my T-mount adapter - I think it's when the contacts between the lens and body are dirty or not making correct contact - or in the case of my adapter - when the contacts are non existent!

So I'd just take the lens off, make sure the contacts are ok, then put it back on again.
