Yeah, I'll get one on the way home from school tonight!

I'll probably just get a USB card reader rather than one that goes inside the computer since then I can take it with me and use it at school aswell.

Thats what I use all of the time for uploading pics to computer you don't have to worry too much about will the battery on the camera run out while in mid stream

That is actually a fair point, never thought about the battery before!

I'm at home, my uncle is bringing it down tonight :P

Got the card reader, and what do you know!!! IT WORKS!!!

The read/write speed is higher and the latency between commands is much less - always a good thing!

Thanks for the advice people, now I can do my RAW + JPG stuff now 8)

(Feel like such a idiot, even noobish for not thinking of it in the first place! And I call myself a computer geek! Shame on me lol!)

You are welcome. Glad I was of help.

I don't even have the 350D, but I guess you never know when some random knowledge obtained from some random website turns out to be helpful.

Hey Daniel, you're not an idiot at all - this thread has been a really nice bit of investigative journalism and I think a few of us have learnt something here!

And it's great your problem's solved too...
