    EOS 40D/17-85 +EF70-300 KIT ........................... €160
    EOS 5D + 24-105 L IS USM KITS ......................... €250

    EOS 5D +EF85 f/1.2 KITS 4,399, - ........................ €300
    EOS 5D +EF50 f/1.2 +580EX II KIT ....................... €320
One reasonable inference to be drawn is that the EOS 5D replacement is unlikely to be announced until this cashback promotion is over so PMA '08 is now favourite. The promotion is pretty imminent so I guess we will see some official announcements from Canon during the next week.

Bob.

Interesting..

Does this means, new cameras or accessories coming from Canon ?
My personal opinion is 'stock clearance' before the New PRODUCT comes.

Thanks Bob for the Heads up

Well this was a small price to pay for Bob for being the first in this forum with a 40D and shooting happily ever after with this excellent camera...
In electronics, if you wait for lower prices you'll never buy anything!

Some crazy deals...

40D + EF-S 17-85mm IS USM is like £1006 without the cashback, and £936 with the cashback on the lens and camera!

My mum saw this and actually thought about getting one - but I soon made her realise that the money would be better spent on lenses & flash guns for the 350D.

The only problem is you have to cut out a bit of your box!!! The doth not fly! I try to keep my boxes neat and intact so I can show them off :D My PC for example, I have the boxes for the mobo, cpu, ram, cpu fan, case, and psu - not currently on display but I do keep them intact.

Hi Roy,

True, but I have just got back from a couple of weeks in the Lake District with the 40D and the timing of that trip was a big factor. Just as with my old 400D, I have probably ended up taking photos of pretty places rather than pretty photos but, hey, I had fun!

Bob.
