Hello. When can we expect the Canon 24-105L + 400D review? I've been checking the site daily to see whether it's available yet. :-)

No worries, Gordon. Take your time. I guess it's a no-brainer given how much you have had on your plate lately with all the exciting new product announcements!

In the mean time, I picked up a 17-55 F/2.8 to go with my 400D (XTi). I'm loving it! Your very informative review played a big role in my decision. Although you gave the 17-55 a relatively modest score compared to other upgrade choices, you provided enough detail in the review for me to make an informed decision that it was the lens I needed. It's so much fun taking pictures with this lens. The low light performance is second to none.

Thank you very much!

Hi blahsome, you've got yourself a great lens. If you can afford it and don't mind the weight, the 17-55mm f2.8 is one of the best EF-S lenses around... Glad we could be of service!

As for the 24-105mm, yep, you're right. I have various lenses lined-up for testing, then something like a Sony A700 or Canon 40D comes in and they kinda have to take priority!

Next up on the site though is the Nikkor 70-300mm VR... not much good to you, but a lovely lens none-the-less!

Gordon

Hi Gordon,

Would I notice much of a difference in quality comparing the 17-55mm f2.8 against the 17-40mm f4.0 L? And which one would be your recommendation.

Thanks,

Hey Gordon,

Ignore my last question, I noticed you had a video explaining the differences.

Thanks,

Hi guys, could be a while yet as I'm over-run with other 'products' at the moment!
