 Post subject: sensor cleaning
PostPosted: Fri Jan 08, 2010 11:53 pm
hello,
yesterday i tried to clean the sensor on my Canon 50D and like an IDIOT i used my mouth to blow on it several times, do you think I damaged anything by doing that, or what I could have damaged by blowing on the sensor?

Thank you

Caleb

You're unlikely to have caused damaged, but possibly you may have accidental spit on the sensor and in effect caused more dirt on it.

thank you very much popo, I have been going crazy stewing over that, I told my father who bought the camera what I done and he wasnt to tickled about it, I told him I had read online that some equate sensor cleaning to "open heart surgery." to which he replied, " so basicly you opened up somebodys chest cavity and spit in it?"
