I own one :)

I'll tell you that the 50-500mm is a great lens.

at 500mm its really Sharp if u photograph birds or other animals!

I totally recommend that lens if you are interested in Wildlife/Nature ^^

It costs at least 1000 euros, its great price for that range.

a 500mm f/6.3 lens WITHOUT any image stabilizer? :shock: oh dear me...

or did you just forget to mention the "OS" tag in the lens name? ;)

It's not OS :) I guess 500mm is reserved for good light situations. On the 100-400 at 400 I find I can manage 1/1000s at low ISO in good light, so the Bigma isn't that different.

Or I just use a tripod and a remote trigger :P that works too ^^
