I have just purchased a Tamron 70-300 F/4-5.6 Di VC USD and I'm using it on a Canon EOS 60D.

I just cannot use the camera with the lens on AF mode. The focus keeps hunting between the minimum distance and infinity, endlessly. For all my trying, I haven't been able to take a single shot on AF.

I have tried all AF modes, stopping down from full open, zooming in / out, restarting cam, re-attaching lens, cleaning the contacts... Nothing solves the problem.

MF is working just fine.

Can anybody help? Is there any setting I am missing?
