Good day!

A hobbyist here and I'm getting a chance to buy my next lens.
I only have kit lens(18-55) for my D5000 and I'm looking for an upgrade.

What I'm looking for right now is good for landscape and portraits..
Large Maximum appertures and can produce sharp images.. All-around lens in short.. I currently have my Eyes on Tamron 17-50mm 2.8, 28-75mm and 18-270mm (Yes they are all tammys )


Are these lens sharp Compared to the nikon's kit lens?
Do they even fit and AF on my D5000?
Do you know any other lenses you can suggest?

My daily use lens is a Nikon 18-200MM F3.5-5.6G IF-ED AF-S VR DX Lens, there is a VRII lens out now which is supposed to be better as it does not suffer with creep when looking up at something you are zooming in on.

It may not be a big enough Ap for what you are looking for, but I found it made my kit lens totally redundant for my photography, you can go out for the day with it and cover most situations.

I also recommend a Tokina ATX 116 PRO DX AF11-16mm F/2.8 Nikon Lens, I know this is quite wide angle for what you are doing, but as it has so little distortion, you can get some quite good portrait shots with it, adds a nice effect to the images without making people look weirdly round!

Then perhaps look at a 70 - 300mm lens.....
