:? I dont know anything about new digi lenses other that they seem to be made of "plastic" & most cost a fortune

I have a Nikon D-5000 with a std 18mm/55mm which seems quite good if not very slow at times

For my real "film" full sensor Nikon i used 24mm 55mm 85mm & had a 200mm of these i use the 24mm & 55mm mostly the 85mm often & the 200mm almost never

Since borrowing equipment including Zooms i now would like a Sigma 18mm/200mm :?:

:D Well the price is around 200? :) The price is OK but what do i get for that??I dont want to buy something ill never use when i find it dosnt produce good sharp images & have good low light ability

My "old" obseleat  lenses inc a 35mm f1.8 24mm f2

Should i consider buying this Sigma lense or another???

Are there other lenses at a moderate price :) which provide excellent image quality wide apperture from wide to tele and provide a 35mm film equivalent of say 28mm(35mm) TO 200mm(300mm :?:
