Hey, does anyone have this flash. I'm looking to buy an external flash but it has to furfill one condition: it has to work wirelessly.
So that leaves me with the following options:
1) 580EX (1 or 2)
2) 420 EX or 220EX WITH an ST-E2 transmitter
3 EF-530 DG super
The sigma is argueably the cheapest (€ 250) considering what it offers. But does anyone know what is considered to be 'wireless' ? I mean what is the max. range that you can use it. Must the flash be positioned in the line of sight of the camera (is it triggered via infrared or something?) ? I also read on the sigma website that you can use your camera's pop-up flash to trigger the external one. I hope then the pop-up flash only triggers and doesn't appear on the photo?
I'm new to flashes
