Hi

It's a bit of an odd question but does anyone know if the Tamron Adaptall-2 80-210mm CF tele-macro zoom lens for Pentax is compatable with the Panasonic G1

thankyou

Not unless there's a Micro Four Thirds to either Pentax or Tamron adaptall adapter available!

Technically speaking, Micro Four Thirds has a lot of potential for using other lenses because the sensor to mount distance is so short, there's plenty of room for an adapter without worrying about the lens being too far away to focus properly. Of course you'll probably lose any autofocus and maybe even some advanced metering, but the potential is pretty exciting.

As fas as I know there is no mFT-Adaptall mount, so it seems you just have to buy an adaptall mount of another kind, like a nikon and then use a mFT to Nikon adapter!

The camera should meter without any problems! As far as I know every Olympus DSLR meters with any manual lens you attach!

Btw. the konica mount fits FT without any adapter! On some lenses you will need same spacing in form of paper between camera mount and lense mount but it's an absolutely worthy possibility!
