Got my new lens today and it's incredible. I guess pictures speak louder than words so here you go... keep in mind I'm a rookie so any faults are more likely operator error :)

i had the Canon version before and it is very good lens, especially the bokeh is very smooth. I used it primarily for portrait and basketball game.

Thanks for sharing the photos.

Nice bokeh, looks like it handles out of focus lights pretty well too. Some lenses don't. Does it have rounded aperture blades or not?

Rounded? I don't know... Sigma's site doesn't seem to mention it either.

What's the focusing like? Is it fast? Is it quiet? I'm been very tempted to buy this lens and am torn between this, the Sigma 30mm f1.4 and the Sony 50mm f1.4.

To me, focus is very fast and quiet... You can hear it, but it's nothing unusual, I guess.

Thanks N0YZE. I'm just slightly concerned by the softness of the "leader's mouth", "Fridge magnet" and "cork" photos. It's as if the AF system failed to focus correctly.

Definitely chalk those up to user error

Focal point is the bottle cap, just above the blue in all of these... low light.
