I'm going to look at this Tamron 28-75/2.8 lens from a posting on craigslist today and the lady who owns it misplaced the lens hood. Does anyone know it the hood from either the Canon 24-85/3.5-4.5 or the EFS17-85 will fit/work?

They all have 67mm threads for filters

Just an update here.

So I bought the Tammy 28-75/2.8 and I found a direct replacement hood from B&H that I placed on order just now along with a Bogen 484 ball head for my new gorillapod.

My initial impression from the Tammy is awesome. I wanted it as a portrait lens to compliment my 18-55IS and 55-250IS lenses. It is pretty sharp at 2.8, but it really floors me at f4. I originally wanted to go with primes, i.e. 28/1.8, 501.4 and 85/1.8, but the budget will not allow that right now so I think this was a very good compromise. I still have the 50/1.8 for low light but I found that beyond 2.8 would give me too shallow DOF most of the time anyhow.

Thanks. I originally put this in the Canon section because I was hoping to get input from Canon owners that may have the other Canon hoods I was trying to substitute with. now that I have when with a direct replacement, it does make more sense to go in the Tammron section.

I'll definitely throw some shots into the gallery thread hopefully pretty soon.
