Was this taken near the coast? I don`t know birds of Norway, but it looks like a Wader or Shore bird. A Snipe or Sandpiper of some sort.
Maybe do a local search in google on Shore birds and Waders

it is taken on the coast yes, i look west and there is nothing but sea.

i did a bit more research after i saw a flock of them in a freshly plowed soaked field.
and i now think it is a Dunlin, concidering the size of it that is similar to a starling

I love the wren shot strict.

On a side note... just got home for good after close to 4 months on the road. only made it home for 5 days duringthat time so have been really busy but I did manage to complete all but one assignment. Will hopefully be posting lots of pics over the next little while... great to be home and back on Camera Labs.

nice stephen... I like the second last 1 with the wing tip almost touching the water. Something about the second 1 I really like as well.

Not much wildlife for me this summer, it's getting to be that season again though :-)

thought the colors at the top of the image were distracting, so i removed them, except for the light of the orange lamp.

A few more from the past few weeks, on the weekends of course...it's been ridiculously hot here and humid too, with rain essentially every afternoon, so I have to visit quickly between the raindrops and deal with constantly changing light. (Sony A550, Minolta 300mm F4 APO + 1.4x TC):

BY THE WAY - Fellow Canadian birders...can anyone offer any suggestions for birding areas that might be accessible within an hour and a half drive from the following cities: Gaspe, Quebec; Charlottetown, PEI; Sydney, Nova Scotia; Halifax, Nova Scotia.

I'll be in each for just one day - and would love the chance to see some northern birds I don't get to see down here. I'll be there the second week of October.

Nice shot of the "Snowy Egret". You may want to PM kpr re: birding sites on the E-coast.
