meet Enrique.

yeah, that's right. Enrique. I had to come up with something dignified.
long story short. His nest was raided by possums, in the barn...all of his kin were taken. Possums raid at night, and there is little hope for babies who can not fly. Found him struggling for life, by the barn door. No feathers. Just pink bird. This is his official I am gonna make it portrait.
I am guessing, he is about a week old, here..but I had only had him about two days, here doesn't he look oh-so-smug.

a tune for my feathered friend....

this is the "little wing" today, after a week of feeding...

He is just a plain old nothing fancy sparrow, but not one of them fall to the ground, without someone taking note, so I've heard.

moral of the story: when all looks beak...oh, I mean bleak, and you have not one friend on your side...at the end of that dark night, (even if you have funny looking hair), someone may scoop you up, and love you anyways..there is always hope...ALWAYS.

May you find your scoop.
happy sunday...

patti

He's a cute little fella. Well... Assuming you have been able to ascertain from his plumage that 'Enrique' is indeed a little boy sparrow. He's lucky you have found him. I wonder whether he'll stick around or will disappear into the wild blue yonder once he's grown up and ready to spread his wings.

Here's my musical contribution.

Ben
