I finally made the plunge and bought a DSLR in the last few weeks and told everyone I would post some pictures before leaving Hong Kong to head back to Brisbane (Aus).

I visited the Aviary in Hong Kong park on Saturday for a couple of hours and here are some of the shots I took with the new camera.

For anyone visiting HK I would recommend this park. Its small but the the walk through aviary is very good, similar to the one at San Diego Zoo albeit a somewhat smaller scale. Admission is free - but no tripods.

yipeeeee! I just went to the link you posted...and was wowed...great job, beautiful shots...if I ever get to HK, you know where I will head...as it is, I am only a couple hours from the San Diego Zoo, and can take the AmTrack...maybe a leisurely weekend...with a couple of new cards, and I could rent one of the spectacular lenses...sounds wonderful..
