I might have gone for a tighter crop, perhaps a shutter speed of 1/500th would have been do-able, allowing for a lower Iso, but I'm no bird photography expert so I may be wrong. Other than that, looks like a decent shot.

Sometimes ya just gotta wonder how the aerodynamics work on some of these birds...lol..great capture..this guy has flaps all over the place!!
