OH, he is just gorgeous! Great work....I gotta think he was posing for his
portrait...because the intensity here is really neat..

thanks prompterbob..hope that you will continue posting such nice photos..did you get any others at the zoo...oh, say something a little waddle-y-and orange footed? That's right something of "the Web" variety?

Sorry Patti, I didn't see any ducks on that trip. There's usually some mallards waddling around.

The zoo has 3 bald eagles in an open enclosure. All the birds have been injured so they can't fly away. It's great to be able to see them so close (my 400mm lens helped a bit.) I went to Alaska last summer and saw lots of bald eagles flying in the wild, but always at a distance.

you should zoom in more or something... there is too much dead space :P or whatever it's called.
