Hi,

Just took this shot today, I'm really not sure about it myself, what does everyone think?

Image

Here's the details if anyone's interested, it's nothing special!

Lens & Focal: 18-200 VR & 200mm
Shutter: 1/90
Aperture: f/5.6
ISO: 100

Cheers,

Steve

much too beautiful to go on the "da duck o the day"...love the water colors, and love the beautiful graceful swan...I rather like this one, ya know? You should be happy with it...

Thanks guys!

I'm really not sure what the noise was, I think I may of had it in shutter priority judging by the slow 1/90 speed. Annoyed with myself really!

It's rare that I get to go out due to work so I got the bus to the beach and it was a 40 mile round trip, didn't really come back with anything great, so I felt like it was a wasted trip. Although it was the first time out with the D200 and so much to learn yet!

Here's another shot of the beaky one...

Image

I'm trying to find a decent one for the 'da duck o the day', I seem to have quite a few of one with a 'tumor/tennis ball' on the head but they didn't come out well. Grrrrr!

portraiture at it's finest...this is a great one...and nice to see a black swan...with that contrasty beak color and red eyes...
there will always be a spot for you on the duck o' the day..and I bet, like big pix, you have some good duckage stashed away...

This is my first post, so I’m not sure that my “link” to a photo will work. But here’s a White Swan that I captured a while back

*P.S Great site bytheway

Hi WestCoast and welcome to the forum!!

Nice pic!! It's not displaying because you need to delete the extra line before the [/img] tag. Like this:

[img]http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2076/2502269507_cb491a4ed7_b.jpg[/img]

NOT like this:

[/img]

Mark

P.S. The reason the image doesn't display in my post is because is have disabled BBCode so that you can see what you need to do. 8)

Ya, I don’t know, I edited the post so as the “link” is all in ONE line as suggested, and still nothing. The width of the box doesn't allow for 2 [img] on the same line.

I will try again with the Farting Duck…

Hmmm that is strange... I can get it to display just fine :!: I guess we'll have to wait for one of the mods to pop by and fix the post.

The lights in the first one make it interesting. I also like the sharpness of the swan. Nice Close-up too!
