Is that a patti? Haven't seen one of those around here for a while... have a quick snowy cygnet while you're passing :D

Welcome back Patti - this thread isn't the same without you!

Wolfsong and Popo - nice pictures! Wolfsong - some of your geese's bodies look see through! Popo - really nice seeing those swans with the snow in the background.

a patti sighting .. its about flocking time  ... just kidding, welcome back patti hope all is well with you and yours. Missed you and your posts which always quacked me up

Unfortuneately no ducks up here right now... its been an extremely long and cold winter up here and its not over yet... probably another 4 weeks or so before we start seeing anything here again

Figured I could post this in celebration of Patti's return. Not your typical swan picture I suppose, but then that's not my specialisation.

I was getting lonesome, since our ducks and geese have mostly moved south for the winter so I stopped at the sanctuary on my way home yesterday. This guy was the leader of the pack...

I think he was saying FEED ME! :D I was kneeling down in the snow to get a few pictures, and this guy had me leaning waaay back. He was eating corn out of my hand, and looking for more, but I wasn't able to feed him and take pictures too.
I had cropped this picture on Photobucket, and when I go there, only the cropped picture shows up, but when I post the picture, the original one comes up. :|

Now that picture just makes me want to make a trip to the camera store! Great color! I can't get that kind of detail with the camera I have now.
