I guess the cygnets were marching along! The park has two pools, with a land bridge separating them. They were walking over from one to the other at the time in a line, although they were separated enough I couldn't get them all in one shot...

Hi Popo, cannot remember if I have asked this before or you have answered before, but how do find the 100-400L vs the 70-300L.

I love the size and portability of the 70-300L, but sometimes want more reach.

I'd have to pass on that one, but I'd guess it was a domestic or variation thereof. Does it stands pretty upright or was that just what it was doing in the photo? I'm not sure if the shape fits but I'm thinking runner duck.

It usually does stand pretty upright like in the photo. Runner duck seems like a good guess. Thanks, popo

The snow went away pretty quickly. As my town is on the coast it's pretty mild here and there have hardly been sub-zero temperatures since that time you're refering to. The forecast says there could be more snow on the way though

as far as a photo sharing site goes.. have you tried flickr? Its what I have used for years and Im very happy with it.

I have tens of thousands of pictures on my laptop, but I am new to the photosharing websites. Getting the pictures from my laptop to here has been more of an issue than I anticipated. Thank you for the suggestion. Yes, I have Flickr, but I try to use it for work purposes only due to privacy issues with some of the pictures I have posted there. I don't know of a way at Flickr to have some pictures only visible to people here, and others only visible to people from work. (If it's possible, I'd love to know how to do that.)
Some of my pictures are at Photobucket, but I am not able to upload the better quality pictures there so that I can share them here. However, I do like how easy it is to share pictures from Photobucket, and the pictures are automatically reduced in size there to fit the format here. I tried dropbox because I am not limited on size, but it is not as easy to share them. I might have to move my work pictures to Photobucket, and the ones for here to Flickr.
