Well, I guess I'll send over some of my dog, these were the first day with my new 50mm F1/8. Focus does hunt like people say it does, manual focus ring is a little weird, kinda small. One thing I noticed, I can shoot with one hand now. Its so light and small, camera balances so much even now. I know these aren't the best pics, just a few quickies with the new lens. He's a goofy dog, the way his ears flop when he's running.

Can you notice the difference with the DOF?

It's awesome... I can tell autofocus is slow, but I don't think this lens is intended for fast moving subjects but maybe more for stills and portraits. Anyway, your dog looks so cool @ f1.8

At that speed you can shoot a burst (6.5 fps) and take some interesting photos of your dog floating in the air

Try some indoor portraits using your lens @ f1.8-2.0-2.5 and check the differences. You can use it outdoors and play with the DOF a lot.
