Hi all,

Some time ago I had a lot of support on this forum about which camera to choose, even though i kept whining on about it ;)
So I figured it was about time to post some pictures.
Mind you, some (not all) of these were taken in the zoo, my camera was on auto most of the time since it's still quite new to me and i did some editing on some of the pictures in terms of colour saturation and contrast since it was quite a cloudy day.

Butterfly #1:

Probably my favorite:

Pretty boy:

Feeding time:

Nice little panther:

Somehow these birds have a funny look:

Don't know what it's called, but it's very pretty:

An old couple:

An old baboon, lokking quite vulnerable:

A very lazy reptile :

This one is for Big Pix ;)

My cat, With a very smug look:

A horse we encountered on a little walk:

Hope you enjoyed! And that I didn't spam the forum too much :P

Thanks alex :)

That was my first thought as well... Technically i guess the lighting on that one is way off, but i really like the way it worked out.

Nice compilation of shots there, some real fun ones. I liked number four, can you please tell what animal that is?

Cheers Ormina

Thanks for the feedback all
I'll be hoping to get the time to add some more soon ^__^

ormina: I think it's called a prairiedog, at first I thought they were marmots but the prairiedogs are a little smaller I think. These had just been given some carrots. :)

thomas: thanks, I'll give it a go next time (a bit of a nitwit with coding...)

gordon: I'm totally in love with the camera (so much that my girlfriend is getting a bit jealous I think :P)
I loved it when this guy who was standing next to me with a huge lens. I asked him what it was, a canon 70-200. I grinned to myself, thinking about how my, quite a bit smaller, 70-300 lens effectively gave me twice the zoom he got ^__^

Wow Paukl, I'm happy you shared these great shots. I rarely have the chance to see such animals during the long months of winter in Canada.

The pictures have beautiful colors :)
