I guess I'm a bit overdue in posting a photo on this forum.

I get my D80 only in about 1 month and wanted to wait till I get a nice photo from it before posting one on here...

...but I figured it's not fair on the members here who are all posting their photos and I'm just sitting back. :P

So here is my first post with photos taken with my trust Coolpix L1.

I was back in South Africa for 5 weeks. I decided to take my father-in-law to a nature reserve and we came across this... :P

This second shot was taken pretty much directly below her. Something obviously caught her attention.

edit: re-uploaded these pics because i lost my old flickr account.

No, no, no... I took these from the safety of a car. I managed to get the car right under her without scaring her off, then opened the window ever so slightly so that the shot would not be messed up by reflections from the window.

Trust me. When you grow up around that kind of nature, you learn very quickly to respect it at all times.

heheh..that's a great portrait! Good colors and your model really know how to pose :-)

I'm not so sure I would feel safe in my car, that close. Them lion-chicks have a mean right cross - would the car windows hold if she had decided you were in her personal space, I wonder?

Cheers :-)

keep coming back to this thread.

In one way i would like to cuddle with her. That fur looks so soft and smooth. But then again... um, no thanks.

Like that just make sure that when you are "Editing" the Quote don't erase the name of who you quoted.
