I am new to the forum and seeking advice. I am going into the bush in Africa game viewing and would like to take decent photos. I have a Canon EOS 400D Digital is this a reasonable camera for the job. I am thinking about a telephoto lens and wondered which one is the best for wildlife Thanks for any advice you have

Hi Welcome aboard.
Number one for wildlife? the canon 100-400 L would have to be the most obvious choice and your 400D should be fine.

As well as considering purchasing a lens I would look at the hiring option, you may get the range you need, for the time you need it, at a better price.
