I was in Zurich over Christmas, and managed to get to the zoo on Boxing Day. Each day at 13:30, if the weather is below 10 degrees, the penguins come out for a walk with the public. Here are a few snaps:

Nice. Any idea what type they are? All the places around here have humboldt penguins which are not so cute looking.

I'm not too hot on High German/Swiss, but I heard a lot of "kaiser" and "koenig" being talked about at the intro from the keeper, so I presume king or emperor penguins.

I think they're King Penguins - they look very similar to these in an article in today's Daily Mail (great shots included), and I don't think they're big enough
