Hi all,

I have been reading the forums for a while and decided that it's time I start participating a bit. :)

Here's a pic from my recent visit to South Africa:

Image

Taken in Gansbaai, South Africa. Great white shark capital of the world! :)

C&C welcome!

Liron

Stunning shot!

Looks like a new pair of underpants for that seal though

I'd love to see some more images from your trip!

Awesome shot! Must have been a thrilling experience to see them in person.

Thanks everybody!

Watching them breach was very exciting and definitely challenging to photograph. They are lightning fast and you have no idea when they will breach.

Don't worry about the seal, it was a decoy. ;) This made it possible to photograph the shark breaching. Not knowing where about the shark will breach makes it almost impossible to photograph. Just to give you an idea of how fast they are, the one day we were about 15 people on the boat (cage diving) when a shark randomly breached relatively close to the boat. Out of the 15 people, only 2-3 people actually saw the giant shark out of the water. The rest just saw the end of the splash. So imagine photographing something too fast to even see... :P

I'll get more pics up as I process them. Meanwhile, here's a leopard from the Kruger National Park. :)

Enjoy! :)

Very cool shark capture Liron... Do you know if they are still doing the decoy thing down there? Heard they were going to make it illegal to continue this bating technique.
