Ok,.....


These are of Spike,...a curious argument I was having with another gent about.
The Story...is that he was hit by a car a few weeks back,...and mended to the "pet" level.Now obviously he has healed,but will not leave the neighborhood there.He is doglike,...comes right to you...and thankfully he hasn't had anyone do him wrong.He stays at my mom's cousin's all day(they do the garden growing thing)and they do not run him off,...being nature nuts...but they hand feed him.

So now,..since he is not raised tame,....and wonders around ungated.....is he wild or pet?

If the gate is open all the time he is not really a "pet" persay.
It's unfortunate as he now will never be truly "wild" and being in what appears to be an urban environment and possibly dependant on hand outs he may never know "wild"

I see birdseed in the deer thread TravisD
They will eat it until they can get no more in,it's a high energy sugar rush for them and it's really bad for them.
You may want to pass that along,I'm sure they would haul it out of his reach if they knew it would harm him in the long run
They can find what he needs at differant times of the year online and try to keep him to routine.
It's not so bad this time of year but in winter a mistake can kill them.
Its a very complicated diet most find it easier to allow them to fend for themselves.

He's been eating everything from their grapes to blackberries and the bird seed is afik the only thing he wouldn't normally have access to.
