January 2nd 2010 after a very hard frost last night, this guy was standing in the weak winter sunshine asking to be photographed - one of our New Forest ponies:

Love his moustache especially as it looks like it has been waxed... and any minute he will break into song singing about Go Compare, only us brits will know what I am on about...
But have just found this on youtube... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F_-9QFvhQWo and this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mUfV97wnlcg

Acccck. I hope this has nothing to do with your Canon Stallion moniker,
Roy. I googled go campare...and I got Nuthin on google.

Greg. This is one cute pony, and I know you took this shot just for me. I know he decorated himself with those little dried ornaments...and was ready for his portrait..you captured him perfectly...what a new years treat for me..you know how much I love those new forest ponies.

Happy new year Greg..

love,
p
