Is that the "old" Nikon "push-to-zoom" 80-200mm? A beast, but delightfully sharp and fast, even if the push-ull takes some getting used to..lol.
Personally the second one is my favorite. It's not that there is anything "wrong" with the duck-shots, but composition-wise they aren't "wall hangers". But the second one I really like. Being a high-light enthusiast myself, I don't find it over-exposed one bit. For web/e.viewing maybe, but think it would look great on a large print.
Paper only reflect light that is hitting it, whereas a monitor is back lit, more like a slide, rather than a print. Generally speaking I find that images can appear a little too bright on a monitor, but look great on a print.
Colorizing it a a little with yellow or orange might even give it more impact.
