Had another go at wildlife IR today. Less bugs, more birds, and a squirrel also came out for a bit.

have you thought of some wide angle shots of a park/forrest/any landscape?

IR = infrared? I know you can do that with film. I even bought a roll years ago to try and don't know what happened but I never used it. If its digital, do you need a special camera and/or lens and/or software or can any dSLR do it?

You can use almost any digital camera. Just put an "IR filter" in front of the lens and away you go. An example filter, the most well known is the Hoya R72. The name is actually incorrect as it filters everything else and passes the IR. Most digital camera bodies have IR blocking filters, so the two fight each other and you need long exposures to get enough light. If you remove the IR block filter, that makes things a lot easier.
