For a change I was using the Sony today. The body flash combined with a shorter focal length lens (Tamron 90mm) was annoying in this application, as the lens without hood would block the flash once you get to about 2/3 magnification. Also the recharge rate was very slow...

I know this last one is technically a fly, but it is doing its best to look like a bee/wasp so I'll put it here too.

The last one of the four is my favorite. Great details of the flower and the bee. Nice composition and color as well. The rest are great as well.

I noticed this guy when I arrived at the Chalet I am staying in. He was still there the next day, so took some shots. Tried out my extender on my 180 macro. Not great light though and he started moving as soon as I turned the flower he was resting on, to get a better shot. Not very sharp when I hard crop, which may be down to the extender and the light was pretty flat.

Follow the link for a few more shots.

A reprocessed bee shot taken from a while back. This has been fractal sharpened using Noel Carboni's DSLR fractal sharpening software which also needs Genuine Fractals and Adobe Photoshop. These 3 pieces of software working together bring you a very powerful digital processing system.
