Saw this flower in the garden and it didn't look really good from far away, so i got a bit closer and baam! I liked the flower alot so i shot it at f/1.8 with the prime and here are the results!

No sharpening in PP here just added the black background and cropped the image, but i think i need to start to sharpen my images

It would have been better if you leave the stem aswell i think...it looks like its floating lol

Well the 50mm is really sharp compared to the 18-55! But is sure could use some sharpening to enhance a bit more.

kno3, there was no "stem" in the original photo so to speak, this photo is a top view and by doing it this way i isolated the main subject the flower
