What plant is that leaf from? The lighting looks very white - LEDs or halogen perhaps? Or did you just handle that with the white-balance?

well to answer your questions, all of these where shot outside. Nothing was really done indoors! Apart from a tad post processing.
The first shot, i just used a crazy fast shutter speed-which blurred and turned the background black. As far the the lightning comes on that shot it was the sun, coming from camera right top so to speak. If that makes any sense.
That leaf is a more like a petal from a tulip that was just laying about in the sun. So what i did is that i moved it to the shade (very sunny day) but placed in a location so "some" light would come through so to speak. The WB on that shot was i dont know
