The first one lacks composition.. your eye is kind of lost in the photo you know.. there is no where to study.. But the second one is just PERFECT.. i love it because the first yellow flower is in focus and then the other 5 or 6 are out of focus.. great DOF!!

The First picture I played around with the F number, and with a cluster like this the lower F number was just looking bad. pedals that were at different distances were blurring out and different items were blurring and not enough control. Its just seemed like a mess. This I agree doesn't pull your eye to one area. Its "just a picture" but I thought at least it had colors and decent sharpness. I took it mainly for the colors, I'm not really sure what I could of done on such a closeup of this to make it have a better focus point.

The Second picture was my wifes. I was kinda jelous when I saw that later, but I'm still proud I was really impressed. I was so concerned on butterflys that day that I didn't open my mind up for to many flower idea's. Kinda like going to a race and taking a picture of a bird. Kinda wasn't what you planned for.

thanks for the comments.
