Just got my hands on a D800 and a 50mm f/1.4G a couple days ago and I'll be damned if it doesn't do some incredible things. I hiked around Wallace Falls, WA today in the hopes of giving it (and myself) a bit of a workout. It isn't technically macro, but it's pretty close up...and the depth of field! I can't believe what all you full-framers have had the good fortune to be working with all this time. I'm looking forward to giving this combination a lot more work.

Maybe my D7000 being stolen wasn't all bad...
