This one was ovipositing in the wall of my home, the flash produced a "stock image like" background:

The desperate face of the ant reflects what I am seeing last weeks, being relatively cold (for summer) and dry and insect population is on decline.

I'm not sure if these dried eggs still harbor life, but they were arranging them carefully:

Apart from the photos being amazing, I am totally fascinated by nature's *barrel-like* design of the eggs of the green insect. They look surreal. And I wonder how they all fit into that insect.
