Home from the city for the next week and a half, and despite the fact that it's bird season, I was out trying to photograph the first wildflowers of the year. Spring Beauty (Claytonia virginica) was blanketing an area of the park that is my favourite place to visit, so I got down and dirty (literally, it's so muddy right now). Any C&C would be much appreciated, as I was trying to be a bit more artistic with the shallow depth of field. I had to go to ISO 3200 with the first one but despite the apparent softness I think I might actually print it 8x10" or even 11x14". Full EXIF is on Flickr, but both shots taken with Canon 7D and 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM.
