I keep figuring out the best way to capture these eyes. The lateral aproach is a viable alternative, as it shows some mouth detail, the fact these do not allow to left hand the leaf and the great magnification needed also make me conclude the crop is a viable alternative, this photo is already MP-E @5x and in a crop sensor, I even croped from 4752x3168 to 3687 x 2458
the photo has more challenges also in color toning, there's no perfect tone for this and the green aura bahind the colors of the image remember some film photos. It is possible to change this to all more to red, but become too red, so there is no correct answer in the color toning, as there is not correct response about how to place the DOF.
