 Post subject: Band eye Stratiomyidae

Liked a lot the band pattern of these compound eyes, only see it in one place, after two days could get near it and take some photos.

As I was advised everywhere is not asilidae but Stratiomyidae so I corrected the post title. :yeah:

That is an astounding shot!! Really impressive.

Can you tell me how on earth you get shots like that? I am really struggling with Macro shots and would love to get images like that!

I observed the subject behaviour in two opportunities before figure out a way to get this near.
