meaning "Digital Post Processing"?!
Nice contrast with the white in #2, #1 lacks this "antidote" to the white...

No, meaning that I have use just Digital Photo Professional (by many people best when comes to Canon RAWs), and none of Photoshop.

Cheers!

Thanks Ant!
I see U guys have a D80s. It was my dream camera….but also to expensive (around 1100€ vs 639€ for 400D), so I’ve end up with 400D.

Cheers!

Love the photo of the leaf! Lots of nice detail in it.

400D is a good camera, so don't worry about that. I personally think that the 400D shouldn't be targeted at the D80, it is kind of a middle ground between D40x and D80 which is perfect for begginers who don't want to grow out of a DSLR to quickly.

Keep on taking photos, those DSLR's arn't supposed to be gathering dust...which is a serious thing for them lol (I really didn't mean the dust thing to begin with ><)

Thanks on comment Daniel.

Agree with you that 400D should be between D80 and D40X. My other choice in 400Ds price range was A100, but I decide for 400D because of low noise on high ISO and weight/dimensions. As I love to ride a bike and go to hiking, weight and dimensions of camera playing a big role for me.

Cheers!

Caming back to my misinterpretation of DPP. I was thinking of whether you did a little postprocessing on these pics as the colors and contrast (esp. on #2) are almost too good to be right out of the box...
