 Post subject: Some self portraits

Hey guys ive trying my hand at self portraits over the past few days and took one yesterday now i just took 3 more tonight.. its late here and i tried to capture a late night portrait of me watching the olympics and talking to my friends/ looking at photos on the laptop.. so here are the shots.. the last three were taken with my D80 + 50mm 1.8.... And the first one was with the 18-55 plus sb-600

1.

Aperture: f/3.5
Focal Length: 18 mm
ISO Speed: 200

2.

Aperture: f/1.8

Im really mad about the 4th one you can see a bit of motion blur in the shot.. i moved a little.. can happen with 1/4 shutter speeds.. darn

I like them, wish you stayed still for the 4th one but what are you going to do. Just watch out photoj will tell you your lighting is bad.LOL

Well thats a subjective matter.. but i think i got the lighting right and im happy with it lol :D

The lighting's actually okay. The last one could be a little brighter, but for the mood and photojournalistic style in the set, the underexposure works.

#1 looks a little depressed though, maybe you should have smiled a little? :)

I like the moodiness of the entire series, but my favorite is # 3...

"things are looking up"...nice in black and white...number 4 would have been killer, but, I choose #3...

Yeah i like number 1 but there are problems with it.. 1 it looks like my eyes are closed cause im looking at the camera at a wierd angle and i can assure you im not depressed :D

Of course you're not! The picture looks that way though, because of the weird angle and your feet, the make the photo a little too dark.
