This was a medieval fest in a little town called Horst. These knights are called the Knight of Pynnock. Every year they have a fare and there they fight in a tournament. This is one of the reasons why I bought my camera, to take pictures at such events. I hope you like some of them and give your criticism.

Great shots here... the B&W adds to the effect nicely.

It would have been great if you could get some shots without people in the background...

on guard!!
great in black and white, it adds a no nonsense edge, a clarity that is not always present in color...starkness...
We have medieval reenactments here, too...lots of things to do and see at these events, am glad you have a great camera to capture the doings...you sure captured the feeling of the "fight" here,...my favorite is number two...those crazed eyes!! whoo. without the hooooo.
would hate to make him mad. I hope you get to capture more of this type of action, some of the costumes are really something...I enjoyed looking at this series, Palieter, thank you for posting them.

Thank you very much! Although I myself am not completely satisfied with the pictures.

Oh I tell you what you really want to try some layers on those, make em look really old would work a treat with those subjects :)

Scratches, dust, torn edges, dirty marks you name it I'd slap it on there then work on making them gel, bit of sepia on at the end and I reckon you'd have some awesome outcomes.
