Although I don't see the last photos as pornographic, I seem to recall there was a general consensus as to not post nude photos.

Indeed. Hence my earlier comment. I haven't dug backwards to find that agreement.

i would suggest...

...that if there was a nude picture that the author include a (NSFW) or (NWS) tagline in the title.

welllll.

I thought it was a gorgeous rendition....but I will adhere to the rules... because that is part of the deal, and rightly so...good call on the Mods part...difficult but necessary sometimes, to make a judgment call...a beautiful woman, a beautiful photograph, but rules are rules..

so, even tho I know you protest, and your hungry eyes will forever wish it were so...there will be no absolutely no plucked ducks on the duck of the day, either. Besides, you might go blind, looking at it.

Hi everyone, thanks for your messages.

The mods and I have had a good long chat about this, and as before, the conclusion is we'd prefer not to have nude images on the Cameralabs forum. They may have been tastefully shot images, but there's several problems:

1: This is a public forum with minors and we try and encourage a family-friendly atmosphere.

2: Where do you draw the line with this kind of material? At what point does it become pornographic or offensive to the majority of our members? Since this is such a hard one to measure, I believe you have to either say no to all of it, or make it an adult forum and allow almost anything - and we're going for the former.

I realise camera magazines often have similar images, but the difference is they're submitted to the editorial team who look at them and decide whether or not to print them. With a web forum, you post first, then we have to find and censor later.

I know some of you might think this is censorship, or overreaction, but I believe it's for the right reasons on this particular forum. There are of course other forums which allow racier material if you feel the need to post anything of this style.

I also realise we should post guidelines about this sort of thing, so I'll look into sorting those out.

In the meantime, please don't find this discouraging MOLE(PL) - I thought all your images were artistically and technically very good, it's just the later ones aren't suitable for this particular forum.

Gordon

i agree with you gordon.. very well put.. and mole i think all your photographs are amazing like gordon said.. those shots are all well taken and form a photographic standpoint great and not at all pornographic.. and that is true art.. gordon is right.
